The celestial landscape of Extremadura has several characteristics that make this region one of the favorite destinations for astronomical tourism.Its beautiful landscapes, dotted with small populations, offer us a sky with very good visibility given the low light pollution. The good climate, its pleasant temperatures and its skies mostly cleared, facilitate the contemplation of the night sky.

During this activity, focused on people with the aim of starting in the world of astronomy or enjoying a new experience, we will handle several tools for celestial observation, and we will deal with topics as exciting as the history of astronomy, constellations and their legends, the moon, the solar system or night photography. Depending on the lunar calendar, the time of year and the time of the activity, we will enjoy different astronomical observations. The moonless nights are more suitable for the observation of planets and objects of the deep sky, and in the nights with moon, our satellite will take more prominence in the activity.
