ESTEPARIAS BIRDS - LLANOS DE CACERES.


The plains of Cáceres and Sierra de Fuentes, classified as ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds) are one of the best representations of pseudo-stems of the community of Extremadura, in which the most emblematic birds of this environment come together. During our visit we will visit vast areas that include some of the areas of greatest interest for the observation of these species. Despite the serious conservation problems currently suffered by our steppe birds, in these places it is still possible to observe without much difficulty most of its most characteristic species, among which the bustard, the little bustard, the Ortega and Iberian bargains stand out for their uniqueness , the Lesser Kestrel or the European Rattlesnake, among many others. During the route it will also be possible to observe some species of birds of prey, which will vary depending on the time of visit, such as the Montagu's harrier, the imperial eagle, the short-toed eagle or the merlin to name a few, as well as numerous species of birds of small and medium size, like the omnipresent scribes wild and calandrias.
